Christmas Flower

Well I have realized that this blog is in need of a very much needed update. The first is that I wanted to show pictures of the beautiful flower my grandma got us for Christmas, you know the boxed flowers that stores sell during Christmas time. The type of flower is an indoor amaryllis minerva. In the box was just a bulb, pot, and soil. We planted it on Christmas and would measure the growth almost daily, however we did not record it. When it first started growing it grew a quarter inch a day, and then it got to one inch a day. By the end of January (1 month), it had bloomed and was absolutely beautiful. Right now the flowers are gone, so it is a stem and the the leaves have been growing like crazy lately. So here are some pictures of how it turned out. We were taking pictures everyday, so here is only a few of the plants progress.
